In this piece, Aslan Orazaev narrates a tale of a corporal. The artist portrays an elderly man with a tired look and a mustache yellowed from acrid tobacco smoke. His uniform is immaculate, just as it was thirty years ago when the corporal was in his prime. He's endured many battles over the years and has seen a lot. Perhaps that's why he doesn't say much, instead carefully observing the other person, twirling his mustache and smoking his favorite pipe. It would be a mistake to assume that this is a silent old man; that is a deceptive impression. The corporal has the same firm grip, and when it comes to business, his eyes light up with fire.
