Artist Andrey Skripka, born in 1965, works in the abstract expressionism style. He seems to constantly be experimenting and reconsidering the significance of color in every work. Every time, the artist crafts a unique place, both definite and surreal as it lacks perspective, air, and shadows. "Creating images has always come naturally to me, just like breathing or walking, but it's far more interesting because it relies on creating and inventing as well. It's like never-ending play and work at the same time. It's more than the inside effort. It may not be easy, but thrilling." The artist skillfully produces a complex, vibrating color and inspires a specific emotional mood with fluid, vivid strokes and abstract patterns. As an artist, I'm more fascinated by the inner selves of people, that are full of emotions, fantasies, and unanswered questions about the universe and themselves. As such, the technique, materials, and style I use in my works are just as significant as the content. I have to exercise both extreme self-control and emotional freedom in my expressionism. To leave the right impression, every brushstroke must be easy, yet precise." His works explore intimate subjects that are understood and seen by the naked eye, occurring outside the familiar realm. They are manifestations of life itself: perpetual motion, development without an end, and ever-changing, fluid forms. "I enjoy it when the concept turns out right, and the process is easy. Yet, the best results come from unanticipated success and the ability to improvise."
