Our Garri, 2013

Alexander Savko is a significant contemporary Russian artist, a member of a studio on Bauman Street, along with Avdey Ter-Oganyan, Vladimir Anzelm, and Vladimir Dubossarsky. Alexander's works employ intellectual, gamified postmodern schemes, such as reproducing images and codes from other creators. This art aims to hint at a hidden connection between antagonistic characters and backgrounds. However, his works frequently feature inexplicable and absurd clashes of various cultural codes. Alexander's works typically feature characters from pop culture, comic books, and cartoons, sometimes all at once,  in the context of classical foreign and Russian art.
