Mermaid. Funny Anatomy, 2016

For a pint of beer, the drunk sailors, the frequent of ports, will tell you a dozen tales about mermaids. Many of them have never seen a mermaid. Artist Lyudmila Baronina depicted the anatomy of a mermaid so that we recognize one when we see it – to keep us from falling for the bait. Generally speaking, a mermaid's body consists of two parts: a fish-like lower body and a human torso. The artist accurately adds an important element - a glass of wine to lure a sailor, as well as the skull of the poor guy in the other hand. The mermaid is in a pearl shell, but scientists are still debating if there is a connection between these marine species.
