The work is based on Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, created to better understand human proportions. Vladimir Kolesnikov depicts a male figure whose posture resembles the obvious logo, putting the viewer on the verge of disputing and destroying binary oppositions. By destroying historicism within identifiable visual boundaries, the artist ultimately reconciles the original and the contrasting symbol, revealing the difference between their appeal to a modern audience and their nominal value.
