Life in a sideboard, 2021

In his signature impressionistic manner, Konstantin Lupanov depicts the sideboard as a microcosm: this mirror and glass world contains artifacts of various eras accumulated over generations, as well as layers of family memory. It appears that in this self-portrait the artist accidentally glanced into the sideboard mirror and found himself at the epicenter. Objects and their reflections never stop interacting, and now the reflection of the person is a part of this dusty, layered microhistory world.
