Landscape with the boat, 2022

Landscape with a boat is a subject untypical to Walter Limo. Compared to other paintings of the artist, this one has an uncharacteristic northern restraint. We don't see much of the signature neon pink - just a touch to preserve the style. Preoccupied persons, the low, brooding sky, serene nature, stillness of the caught fish, and a majestic fjord in the distance. Even the surrealist elements characteristic to the artist seem to escape the gravitas of the painting.
