Igor Mikhailenko compares his abstract works to photographs. Photography as an art does not seek to capture every detail of the moment or to provide a report: there are other genres for this. Photography as a form of art strives to capture an emotion. The same can be said about Landscape series of abstract art. The artist invites us to interpret the painting in our unique manner; he does not claim to have the only correct reading. Igor Mikhailenko's primary objective is for the audience to experience the mood of the painting. "It's about emotions, not logic, not math," the artist says.
