Igor Mikhailenko's 2020 series In Room study the space in which people were trapped during the COVID-19 pandemic. A room is a geometric space with clear lines and shapes, but it is also a place where human emotions accumulate. This art piece has many layers, and every inch of it is bursting with information. In the background, the artist depicts a lake shore that opens up from the bridge. But the path to it is blocked by lines that look like a room layout. The bright dots and lines are emotions of a person trapped in an apartment and longing to be outside.
