Igor Mikhailenko's 2020 series In Room study the space in which people were trapped during the COVID-19 pandemic. A room is a geometric space with clear lines and shapes, but it is also a place where human emotions accumulate. This art piece portrays an exuberant nature full of emotions that are released and splattered over the walls. The riot of colors is reminiscent of Latin American carnivals, their frenzied fun. The message is: "be a realist – demand the impossible".
