Nalbi Bugashev's Drawing 01.03.22 bears his signature minimalist style. The drawing depicts an iron staircase that starts nowhere and leads nowhere. The artist is attracted by the meditative potential of everyday objects. Any object is merely a tool to achieve certain goals and/or destinations. However, the artist consciously strips objects of their functional meaning, thus making room for new interpretations. The staircase is ceasing to be such in its literal meaning; it is an artifact of contemporary history, a model of modern people's way of thinking.
