Modern man is disconnected from nature. For the first time in human history, we are spending more time indoors than outdoors. We live in huge concrete and glass houses, cars move us along a network of asphalt roads, steel birds transport us across the sky to other cities. There is almost no place in our daily lives for spending time in nature or contemplation. Painter Dmitry Prokopovich gives us a chance to return to our roots for a while. To let go of vanity and be open to the whimsy of natural forms, the changing of seasons, and the last rays of the day. It is not encouraging idealistic images; rather, it invites us to see the beautiful things around us for what they are.
